XR Capsules (“XR Capsules,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a company based in Washington State, United States, operates Reality Studio, including the website at https://xrcapsules.com, our mobile applications, and related products and services (collectively, the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights available to you.
By using Reality Studio, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create or use an account, we may collect information such as:
- Your name
- Email address
- Account identifier
- Profile information
- Account preferences
- Authentication and login information
Google Sign-In
If you choose to sign in using Google, Google may provide us with information authorized by you through the Google authentication process, such as:
- Your Google account identifier
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your profile image
We use this information to authenticate you, create and manage your Reality Studio account, maintain account security, and provide account-related functionality.
Unless clearly disclosed to you through Google's authorization screen, Reality Studio does not use Google Sign-In to access content from services such as Gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, or your Google Calendar.
We do not use personal information obtained through Google APIs to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
Reality Studio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.
Capture and User Content
Reality Studio is a spatial-computing and 3D-capture service. When you use its capture, reconstruction, editing, or processing features, you may provide information including:
- Photographs and video
- Camera and device metadata
- Camera poses and tracking information
- Depth information
- LiDAR or other spatial-sensor data
- Meshes and spatial geometry
- Scene and object scans
- Location or spatial information included in a capture
- Gaussian splats, point clouds, 3D models, and other generated assets
- Project names, descriptions, settings, and related project data
Your captures may incidentally contain personal information, including recognizable people, homes, workplaces, personal possessions, vehicle information, documents, signs, or other identifying information.
We refer to materials submitted by you and generated directly from those materials collectively as “User Content.”
Device and Technical Information
We may automatically collect technical information such as:
- IP address
- Device type
- Operating system and version
- Browser or application version
- Device identifiers
- Session information
- Network information
- Application logs
- Crash and error information
- Performance information
Usage and Analytics Information
We may collect information about how Reality Studio is used, including:
- Features used
- Pages or screens viewed
- Capture and processing activity
- Actions taken within the Services
- Session duration and interaction information
- Performance and reliability metrics
Payment Information
If you purchase a subscription, credits, or other paid services, payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe or an application marketplace such as the Apple App Store.
XR Capsules generally does not receive or store your complete payment-card number. We may receive transaction information such as your purchase, subscription status, billing country, amount paid, payment status, and transaction identifier.
Communications
If you contact us, we may collect your email address, correspondence, support requests, feedback, screenshots, files, and any other information you choose to provide.
2. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- Create and manage accounts
- Authenticate users
- Provide 3D capture, reconstruction, hosting, editing, visualization, and related functionality
- Process photographs, video, spatial information, and other User Content
- Generate Gaussian splats, meshes, models, and other outputs
- Store and deliver projects and generated assets
- Operate subscriptions, credits, and payments
- Provide customer support
- Diagnose crashes, failed processing jobs, and other technical issues
- Monitor performance and reliability
- Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents
- Analyze how the Services are used
- Develop new features
- Improve capture, reconstruction, computer-vision, machine-learning, and other Reality Studio technologies
- Comply with legal obligations
- Enforce our Terms of Service
3. Use of User Content to Improve Reality Studio
Reality Studio is an evolving spatial-computing platform.
Unless prohibited by applicable law, XR Capsules may use User Content and information derived from User Content to develop, test, evaluate, and improve Reality Studio and related XR Capsules technologies.
This may include using captures, images, video, geometry, depth information, spatial information, generated 3D data, and associated metadata to:
- Improve capture quality
- Improve camera tracking and spatial understanding
- Improve reconstruction quality
- Reduce processing failures and visual artifacts
- Develop segmentation and scene-understanding systems
- Train, test, and evaluate computer-vision systems
- Train, test, and evaluate machine-learning or artificial-intelligence models
- Improve automated processing and editing systems
- Evaluate new Reality Studio features
We do not obtain ownership of your original User Content merely because it is used for these purposes.
Where applicable law requires consent for a particular use, we will rely on consent or another lawful basis as required.
This section does not authorize generalized AI or machine-learning training using personal information obtained through Google APIs.
Effect of Deleting Content
When you delete User Content, XR Capsules will stop retaining the stored copy of that content as described in Section 8.
However, deletion does not necessarily reverse improvements already made to software, algorithms, statistical systems, or machine-learning models using the content before it was deleted.
For example, model parameters, aggregate statistics, performance measurements, or other learned information that do not constitute a retained copy of the deleted content may remain, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply, we process personal information using one or more lawful bases, including:
Performance of a Contract
We process information when necessary to provide Reality Studio and perform our agreement with you.
Legitimate Interests
We may process information when necessary for legitimate interests such as:
- Improving the Services
- Maintaining security
- Preventing fraud and abuse
- Diagnosing technical problems
- Understanding product performance
- Developing our products and technology
We consider the effect of such processing on your privacy rights.
Consent
We rely on consent when required by applicable law. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent, subject to legal limitations and processing that occurred before withdrawal.
Legal Obligations
We may process information when necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, or lawful government requests.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not rent your personal information to data brokers.
We do not use personal information for third-party targeted advertising.
We may share information in the following circumstances.
Service Providers
We use third parties to help operate Reality Studio, including providers of:
- Cloud infrastructure and hosting
- Databases
- File and object storage
- GPU and compute infrastructure
- Authentication
- Analytics
- Error and performance monitoring
- Customer communications
- Payment processing
These providers may process information on our behalf to perform services for XR Capsules.
At Your Direction
We may share information when you intentionally publish, export, share, or otherwise direct us to provide User Content or project information to another person or service.
Legal and Safety Reasons
We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law
- Respond to valid legal process
- Protect the rights or property of XR Capsules or others
- Protect users or the public from harm
- Investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents
Business Transactions
If XR Capsules is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, bankruptcy, or sale of some or all of its business or assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
6. Human Access to User Content
Authorized XR Capsules personnel and service providers may access limited User Content when reasonably necessary for purposes such as:
- Responding to a support request
- Diagnosing a processing failure
- Investigating security or abuse
- Evaluating reconstruction quality
- Testing or improving Reality Studio
- Meeting legal obligations
Access is limited to people who require it for an authorized purpose.
Information received through Google APIs is additionally subject to Google's restrictions regarding human access and use.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Reality Studio may use cookies, local storage, mobile SDKs, and similar technologies to:
- Keep you signed in
- Remember preferences
- Maintain security
- Measure usage
- Diagnose errors
- Understand product performance
Where required by applicable law, we will request consent before using non-essential tracking technologies.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain information for only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, subject to legal and operational requirements.
User Content
When you permanently delete User Content through Reality Studio, XR Capsules initiates permanent deletion of that content from our application storage.
XR Capsules does not maintain application-level backup copies for the purpose of restoring User Content after permanent deletion.
Deletion may require a limited period to propagate through active infrastructure and service providers. Once permanent deletion is completed, the User Content cannot be restored through Reality Studio.
As explained above, deletion of User Content does not necessarily remove aggregate statistics, de-identified information, system improvements, or machine-learning model parameters produced before deletion, except where required by law.
Account and Administrative Records
Some information may remain after User Content or an account is deleted when reasonably necessary for:
- Payment and accounting records
- Fraud prevention
- Security records
- Resolving disputes
- Enforcing agreements
- Compliance with legal obligations
We retain such information only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.
9. International Data Transfers
XR Capsules is based in the United States and operates services that may use infrastructure and service providers located in multiple countries.
If you access Reality Studio from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose privacy laws differ from those where you live.
Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we will use appropriate legal mechanisms.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure.
No internet service or method of electronic storage can guarantee absolute security, and we cannot guarantee that information will never be compromised.
You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and for promptly informing us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
11. Children and Minors
Reality Studio may be used by people of different ages where permitted by applicable law.
If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to the applicable terms on your behalf where required.
Some jurisdictions require verified parental consent before an online service may collect or process personal information belonging to younger children.
Where such requirements apply, a child may not independently provide personal information to Reality Studio unless the necessary parental or guardian authorization has been obtained.
If XR Capsules learns that we collected personal information from a child in circumstances where legally required parental consent was not obtained, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

12. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to:
- Request access to personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion
- Obtain a portable copy of certain information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Opt out of certain uses where applicable
- Appeal certain decisions concerning a privacy request
- Lodge a complaint with a privacy or data-protection authority

We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right protected by applicable law.
13. Additional Rights for EEA, UK, and Swiss Users
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may have additional rights under applicable data-protection law.
You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority responsible for your location.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
14. United States State Privacy Rights
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights under state privacy laws.
Depending on the applicable law, these may include rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain copies of personal information and to opt out of certain forms of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling.
XR Capsules does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for third-party targeted advertising.

15. Third-Party Services
Reality Studio may interact with third-party products or websites.
Those services may collect or process information under their own privacy policies and terms. XR Capsules is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties that operate independently from us.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Reality Studio changes or as legal requirements evolve.
When changes are material, we will provide notice where required by law.
The date at the top of this Privacy Policy identifies the latest revision.
If we materially change how we use information obtained from Google APIs, we will provide any notice and obtain any consent required by Google's policies or applicable law before using the information for the new purpose.
